2nd baby

My son was due on June 20th

He decided on May 6th that we wanted to make a grand entrance into this world at just 33 weeks and 4 days.

I woke up at 8:30 am feeling uncomfortable. By 10 am I started having pain and thought it must just be “fake contractions” my daughter came full term * so I didn’t think it was possible to be real labor.

My boyfriend, daughter and I went to my mother’s house for our Sunday visits I got to my mom’s just before 1 pm.

When I arrived I was in tears. My contractions were 2 minutes apart. My mom was like this is real labor! So we called my midwife.

By 1:15 pm my midwife arrived at my mom’s house, she checked me and the bag of water was right there and I was 5cm. She then called an ambulance.

I remember the drive to the ambulance my midwife didn’t think I was going to make it and she was ready to deliver my baby in the ambulance.

I arrived at the hospital 20 mins later.

When they rushed me in as soon as I got there I already contracted to 9.5cm. No time for any drugs. 5 mins later I was fully dilated and ready to push and dad had just walked in the door in time.

I was in labor for 7 hours and pushed my son out in 8 minutes. That was with the nurses and midwife telling me to stop pushing and to do half pushes because he was coming so quick.

My handsome son was born at a large 6 pounds 7 oz. And 19 .5 inches long. Shocked all the nurses and doctors. He did need CPAP for 20 minutes to help open his lungs. He stayed in the NICU for 2 weeks and 2 days till he learned to feed on his own. He was discharged on May 22nd at 6pounds 13 oz. He’s now 6weeks and 6 days old weighing 10pounds 11 oz.

I can honestly say I couldn’t have done it without my amazing midwife who delivered both my babies :).

Oh and should add him and his sister are 11 and a half months apart.
