Doula Agency Owner / Founder - Dulce Birthing Services
Founder - Grace for mothers & mama village
Anita is a wife, and mother of 4 handsome boys. She fell in love with birth 15+ years ago. Before even knowing that being a Doula was a profession, she was naturally supporting friends, loved ones, and even a few friends of friends in the role of a doula. She became the go-to gal when women were pregnant back in her hometown. It was later, after relocating to Texas, she realized that she could formally train. She is self-studied and also received her formal birth doula training through Childbirth International, gaining even more knowledge to assist mothers with. She has served mothers that have birthed 18 babies (not a typo) to first time moms. Her expertise and experience with birthing mothers has led her to midwifery. She is currently an advanced student midwife through Ancient Arts Midwifery Institute along with apprenticeship at the Natural Birthing Center: Salado, with the eventual goal of providing midwifery services locally. Anita also provides lactation support and education alongside her doula services. She has real life experience, having nursed all 4 of her boys along with being a trained lactation counselor through Childbirth International. She is also the founder and president of Grace For Mothers, a local non-profit that provides resources, tools, education and events to mothers through pregnancy and beyond. Last, but not least, she believes in both the power of prayer & chocolate….and tons of each!

I have never met a more compassionate, nurturing and skilled doula as Anita. She is very intuitive in knowing how to best support you and goes above and beyond in the care she provides to mamas.
She knows so many useful tricks and tools to help mamas have better experiences and makes you feel right at home!
Support in a difficult time
This was my third baby but my previous two were traumatic experiences and both during my husbands deployment. This time my husband was home and we wanted it to be memorable. Anita offered her services to us and explained to us what a doula was and how she would help and I have to say it was life changing. Not only was my delivery the most wonderful experience and closest I have ever felt to my husband but even now 8 months later they light up my life when I see them! They are encouraging through my breastfeeding journey and always praise my daughters milestones. They don’t only support mothers during pregnancy but support them lifelong. I would say if you have ever felt alone and needed someone to be there for you in this most precious time to seek Anita because not only do you get the best advice but you get an amazing friend as well.
Vbac second child
Anita is amazing in every aspect. After a unnecessary forced c-section of my daughter I knew going into my second that I wanted help. Anita was there every step of the way and helped me get the birth I wanted. She was even there for me when I had a miscarriage the following year. There are never enough words to show my love for this woman. She truly is one of the best.
Anita was referred to me by a family member. She was such an amazing support to have before, during, and after the birth of my son. Not only did she help with different pain management positions and support, she also helped afterwards when I had difficulty getting my son to latch properly. Because of her I had the most amazing birth experience.
