Love Personified Doula Services

Patice Romeo

Toronto, ON

My name is Patice. I am a DONA trained doula and I have juggled doula work with a corporate career for almost six years. Recently, I made a very personal soul driven decision to focus on the work I love. Nothing brings me more joy and honour than to be part of a birth team and to witness the birth of a baby and the forever-changed dynamic of the family.

Being of a diverse cultural background, I appreciate and embrace all of the wonderful people and things that make Toronto the great city that it is. This was the catalyst in my achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family and Social Relations and deciding to focus on early parenting education and intervention. However, despite my studies and book knowledge, I was not quite sure how I wanted to go about this.

Enter experience: the best teacher ever! Having children of my own brought on a swift understanding of the impact a birth experience can have. No two births are alike. Mine certainly were not! By the time I had my second (12 years after the first!), I was equipped with a great deal of the knowledge I often pass on to my clients. And let me tell you, I rocked that pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum.

I’m not saying it is going to be easy. It is called labour for a reason--- there will be work involved. But that work does not have to be feared. It can instead be morphed into a source of resilience, calm, and determination.

Let’s work together to shape your birth story into one to remember.

Doula Philosophy

When a birth takes place with a mindset of strength, conviction, and inner strength, its recollection is phenomenal, no matter the circumstance. I empower parents with the knowledge, physical, and emotional support that they need to take on birth and parenthood with confidence.
